I'm a bit of an outlier on photography forums, as I love wandering around car/bike shows, and shooting a few frames. Always liked doing so, for as long as I can remember. Exceedingly pleasant way to spend a few hours on a nice sunny day or warm evening, catching up with the odd mate, yarning to strangers, chewing on a hamburger & sipping an icy cold beer. Highly recommended. Anyway, enough of the talk, some pickies

Anyway, Ford day tomorrow, always a good day out, off to get a bit of shut eye

Really nice pics, and some amazing cars!

Anyway, Ford day tomorrow,
Looking forward to the Ford pictures!!

My only time in Victoria was at the Australian Open, not this year but last year, 2023. Nice area, nice weather, except we had one really hot day. If I could I'd jump a plane and be at All Ford Day, and take some pictures.

Yeah, can get pretty warm here for sure. Had a late burst of summer a week back, a few 40°C + days in a row. Supposed to be 30 today, just nice. Anyway, I'm wandering around the show as I tap this out, lots to see, not easy to photograph due to crowds and bright sun, having fun anyway

Great photos! Very nice looking cars.

That Continental looks like it's only a few inches off the ground.

Great shots!! And it looks like a beautiful day.

Old race cars always go down well. I think

Growing up in NZ, we saw lots of small Pommy Fords. Much much more than US, or Australian models. The MkI Cortina has always been one of my favorites. Lovely sleek and stylish looking cars.

Now this was interesting. Straight 6 Ford Barra engine, bored & stroked from 4 litres to 4.2, individual throttle bodies, tuned exhaust, naturally aspirated, it makes 277KW at the wheels. Revs to 8000 rpm, but makes peak power before that. With a hit of Nitrous Oxide, that rises to 533KW at the wheels. That's pretty impressive, considering no turbo's, supercharger or any forced induction.
