Morning all from a long-time lurker!

Recently took delivery of an S1RII. Coming from an S5 for landscapey stuff and an G9II for wildlife, it looks like it'll handle both duties with ease. So, while I decide on which, if any, camera to sell here's a shot from Herefordshire's Mortimer Forest, looking towards the hills of the Radnor Forest.

That was exactly my thinking too. I decided to sell my MFT gear in the coming months and stick with the S1Rii.

How do you like the 150-600? It is heavy, isn't it?

I've been impressed with the image quality of the 150-600 in the short time I've owned it, and have got nice, sharp results handheld. I bought it for wildlife mostly (the above shot was from an unsuccessful search for deer!) but yes, it is heavy! I did manage to walk for several hours up and down some quite steep hills with it and it was manageable, so I'm hoping I'll be OK. The G9ii/100-400 weighs next to nothing in comparison.
 
Have you thought already about the Signa 100-400 DG DN as an alternative for the 150-600? It is 600g lighter.

If you do not need the 46MP resolution @600mm, you can crop 400mm to 600mm and still get over 19MP.

If you are used to MFT with 20MP, this makes it really comfortable.

I only had the G9 Mark I. But with my S1Rii and the 100-400, I get significantly better image quality just because of the higher resolution than with my G9 & Leica 50-200.

I was thinking about the Olympus 100-400 for MFT too. But it is as heavy as my Sigma 100-400, more expensive and has a bad aperture. The Leica 100-400 is "only" 1kg, therefore 400g lighter than my Sigma 100-400, but still the minimum aperture is bad vs. the Sigma and has probably a worse image quality, since it is an old design.

It depends on whether you really need 600mm and 800mm and at which resolution. For wildlife, the more the better, I guess. But I do not do wildlife.

Checkout the monopods of iFootage. Model Cobra 3 with the pedal. I love that one. Could be helpful for the 150-600mm.
 
I haven't. But pixel peeping at 100%, the S1RII combo at 600mm produces far more detail that the G9II and Leica 100-400 at 400mm.
 
The Leica MFT zooms are not as good as they should be for their name and price tag. Old designs, rebadged. Unfortunately Panasonic did not put any efforts in improving the zoom lens line in MFT.
