Took my S1II for a walk the other day. Stripped it down "naked." No monitor. No vmount. Just a camera, a strap, and my hand.

Captured with the Lumix S1II in C4K 24/60p ProResRAW internally. Shots in 24fps are captured using Dynamic Range Boost.

This was the first time I took the prototype Kolari Clip-In OLPF filter out of my testing zone and into the wild. I cannot wait for the final filter to arrive! This prototype only works in S35 mode (it's a smaller piece of glass), and results in some vignetting. The final filter will be full-frame compatible.

Thanks for doing this. Overall, your 4K video looks very good. On my 4K monitor, the power lines visible in the background at about the 4-sec point (horizontal, extremely thin white lines) are a real tell: I don't see any moire/aliasing in those details. Instead, they look as they should. Everything else looks great, too.

As the final OLPF filter becomes available, I look forward to seeing additional 35mm & full-frame sensor 4K video, and also relatively hi-res stills, showing a wide variety of everyday objects, indoors & out, that have fine, regular lines, patterns & grids. "Organic" objects such as long human hair, and man-made objects such as equipment, finely-machined parts, etc. And backlit water ripples on the surface of a river/lake on a sunny day. (That often provokes lots of moire/aliasing.) Cheers.

Today I ordered one of Kolari’s OLPF filters for my S5iiX. I hope the wait for delivery won’t be too long, but I understand it may be “a while”.

I’ve been thinking about buying a Blackmagic “Cinema Camera 6K” (because it has a built-in OLPF and internal BRAW video recording), but instead I’ll give the Kolari OLPF a try.

Bonus: I think I may also have received permission from my boss — er, I mean my wife — to buy a LUMIX S 70-300mm zoom lens (they’re on sale right now). :)

Nice! I think you'll be pretty pleased with the Kolari OLPF and the S5IIx. It probably won't be too long before it arrives actually! The lead time from the launch date on 10/21/25, was 7-8 weeks. We're getting pretty close to that!
