Someone posted in the DP review L-mount forum that Meike L-mount lenses seem to have all disappeared from sale. A quick check shows that seems to be the case - I can't find any anywhere.
I bought the Meike 85/1.8 "Pro" a few months ago so I had the link to the UK Amazon product page, which states that they don't if or when the product may come back into stock.
It would be shame if the options and competition have been reduced by Meike going. I know they're not an official member of the L-mount alliance but their lenses seem to be good and were priced well for what they offer. Perhaps Leica did a Canon and threatened them with legal action if they didn't cease and desist, or maybe they decided the L-mount market share is too low to bother continuing. Or maybe Viltrox's entry as the budget L-mount member prompted Leica (or the other existing members) to crack down on unofficial producers. But then TTArtisan continue to make L-mount lenses and they're not in the alliance either.
