Greetings L mount family
Sooooo I went back to where I lived and loved just for a visit, (wish I'd never sold my house and left) and here are a few pics, just for fun.
I believe these pics are from my FP but there may be one or two shot with my Sigma SDQ-H

Enjoy

Great photos Roger. Can I ask the location?

Sure, it was in Bodie California the Ghost town. I've been going there sense I was 7 years old 1958. My next trip will be in winter with snow. I just found out the State will let me go in, in the winter. I didn't know it had become a state park till I got arrested in 1986 when I was on a assignment for a Los Angeles based magazine. I got handcuffed, a ticket, and escorted out of town by the Ranger. LOL Like I said I use to sleep in those buildings in the 1950's 1960's 1970's, in the fall/winter it was cold, in the summer it was hot.
Thanks
Enjoy

I remember Bodie. I've not been there since the 1960's. According to the park website I do think you can go there in the winter.

Once you go to Bodie it stays with you. Do you remember or did you hear about Rosie May? She was a woman who was a working girl in Bodie, when she died she wasn't allowed to be buried in the christian cematary. She's buried just a few yards away. I like to stop by when there to say hello.
That's what the website says, but I was asking about that and was told by the ranger that lives there all year long it is now open in the winter.
Did you know that Bodie was 90% bigger, but in 1930 a fire burned all but 10% of the town. It was a very hot large fire.
Enjoy
