This is a nice read. And you sure live in an inspirational region. I've been lucky enough to have been there a few times in my life. I have been cycling with our club from Bordeaux via Rocamadour to Tourmalet (to see the Tour) only 2 years ago. And I have pictures of my 8yo self and my grandfather on the train to Lac d'Artouste. I can still imagine the vaste green valley on our left side going uphill. And it has been like a half century ago...

Welcome to the forum. Living close to a mountain range like that must give you a lot of photographic possibilities.

Greetings! Sounds like a lovely photogenic area.

Also a welcome (I am from the Netherlands).
I have good memories during a holiday in Spain / Atlantics Pyrenees.

Welcome to LMF !!! My journey also started with Pentax P30n in the mid nineties, somewhere mid journey on m43 and Lumix S5ii now :)

I own all three P30 variants (original, N, T) and recommend them as the best option for starting with a manual film SLR. They're surprisingly nice to use and very cheap.

Thank you so much for your welcome.:)
The Pyrenees are a wonderful region with forests, lakes, wild animals, and many other livestock like cows, sheeps, and horses.
You're putting me under pressure.

Today... Rain ! :(

More pressure -- I've visited much of France -- but have never been to the Pyrenees. Which I have always wanted to do. More pictures please! :)

I was just talking about that a few days ago. I have a colleague who has just retired from working and when I asked what she will be doing in retirement, she answered she has a trip planned to Southwest France and the Pyrenees. I was so envious. Her situation, she is American and has a sister-in-law who is a French teacher in the US, and they have taken quite a few summer vacations together to France - the sister-in-law does the speaking, and my colleague just enjoys the trips.
