***May 2025 Image and Video Thread***

I was in the city at an ICT conference for work today so I left the car at home and took the train. I put the S9 with 18-40mm in my work bag just in case there was an opportunity to grab a few photos on my way through Central station. I took this shot just before returning home this evening.

After cheating I can tell you… it’s in the UK and starts with a C and it’s not Canterbury. Only city I know in the UK is London so I had to look it up… Love the picture!

Thanks, that's awesome John!

Where was this taken?
Hoorn - Medemblik steamtram, The Netherlands.. A lot more pictures will follow. This one was edited on my phone. I see it's a bit underexposed, will do better in the PC's edit

Hey; I live about an hour and a half from there.
Heh. Well, I'm about to leave the hotel room in Bellville right now; main stop is Yankee Air Museum at Willow Run, but may try a quick sprint down to the station if weather looks good and the grand prix traffic isn't horrible.

Grand Prix traffic will be horrible by normal standards. Not by Detroit standards, of course.... Enjoy the air museum; it's nice. There's a good diner nearby, the Bomber, over in Ypsilanti. It's themed after the Willlow Run airport plants that built USAF bombers during World War II.

Me, I'll be working today, up in Lansing.

Ended up not making the run downtown; the traffic for the East 94 exit as I was turning out of Willow Run was backed up for something like three blocks, so it didn't seem like it would be a good risk. ^^;;

The air museum wasn't bad - the SBD Dauntless undersea display in particular was very nice - but it was smaller than I was expecting. (Admittedly I was spoiled by seeing the Kalamazoo Air Zoo earlier in the week.) Pics will be coming at some point in the next few days; with all the stuff this week I ended up with over 1500 pics to sort through, including the non-wedding pics from the wedding shoot but not the wedding pics themselves.
