Again you can get the Lumix 50 f1.8 cheaper open box or as good as new.We have announced a price of 330$ US and even local markets take a pre-order for 20 days
7Artisans just released a 24/1.4 but for now at least it's only for Sony E mount, which is a shame. The Sigma 24/2 is superb, in case that interests you.I didn't like the rendering of the Lumix 24/1.8 when used with busy background, It gets a lot of ugly very distracting circles. So sold it for the same price I got it. One of the reasons I also sold the 85 a long time ago. But I actually do want a fast 24. The 24/1.8 was nice in twilight city landscapes and probably also for indoor stuff. For now I wait and I will have the the 24-60/2.8 soon, so the new zoomlens will be one stop faster then my current zoomlenses @24mm and maybe that is fast enough.
Once in a while a Lumix 18/1.8 will be available for 400 - 500 euro, which I might prefer over a 24/1.4
But if the announced Meike 24/1.4 is nice I might go for that one! Thanx for putting it on the radar. And a 1.4 will be 2 stops faster then the 2.8....
Yeah I know. I was looking at the Sigma 24/1.4 dg dn, but that one is 929 new, 713 used like new. So quite expensive. The 2.0 is probably not worth the hassle for 1 stop difference I guess. Maybe the 20/2.0 would be a nice add-on from the view that 24-60/2.8 will be my default lens. And 20/2 is two stops faster then my 16-35, and a lot smaller. The Sigma 24/2 is superb, in case that interests you.
