What an incredible city San Sebastián is. It's the most beautiful coastal city in Spain. I lived and worked there for a year and a half, and I have many memories of that area. The cuisine is impressive, and it has the best restaurants in Spain, with the highest concentration of Michelin stars in all of Europe. I miss it, and whenever I travel to Pamplona, I try to make it to San Sebastián (it's a 50-minute drive away).

On the Left the "Monte Igueldo" where John took his picture...

I think I just broke some rules of the game... Z04 Flucht

We also love San Sebastian, together with Zaragoza these are the two most loved big cities by my wife and myself (in Spain that is).

And true, the food is really excellent:

While very nice and an association with the prev. image it doesn’t belong in a PHOTO association thread  so next who wants to post can use the previous image by @xaviergut to continue.

La Punta, Lima Callao, Peru. Great area to get some of the best ceviche of the country!

Meep. Also known as The Meepster or Meepy-cat. She spoke complete sentences, with punctuation. She's been gone around fifteen years now... I miss her.

I've got nine kitties that have shared my life over the decades, now either interred in the back yard under the catnip plants and tiger lilies, or their ashes rest in carved wooden urns on my mantlepiece, over on the other wall of my library. There's a theory I first heard eons ago that as long as somebody somewhere in this world remembers your name, you never really actually die, and so once a week, every Saturday night 'round about midnight or so, I step out on the back deck with a warm shot of Drambuie and speak all the cats' names to the Moon, in hopes that the Goddess will hear them and my kitties will continue to thrive, waiting for me over on the other side of the Rainbow Bridge. One day in the not-too-distant future, soon but not too awfully soon, I'll be crossing that bridge and rejoining them and oh Lordie what a reunion party there'll be.
