I have read that SD is better for thermal management in the camera because it generates less heat, but, it is slow, therefore takes longer to write/read to/from the card, then, is less heat but for a longer period of time.

On the other hand, CFexpress it is know that run warmer and generates more heat, but, it is fast, therefore the write/read operations are quick and even though generate more heat, it is for a shorter period of time.

Bottom line, what option for photo or video is better to reduce the overall heat in the S1 IIE, use SD or CFexpress? Thanks

Just use the right CFexpress cards. After the new FW update, there should be no overheating issue anymore with the formerly wrong cards.
