I'm not writing it off yet but I won't be surprised if it comes up a bit too short in terms of sharpness across the frame. From what I have seen so far it looks like it's most compromised at the wide end in the corners. I guess there is always the possibility that it would improve enough zoomed in slightly to be useable for landscape.
