Vale46 Is your copy normal?​

I seem to be lucky. My copy has a brilliant optical quality.
My lens hood was damaged on arrival. But Sirui is sending me a replacement hood. The customer support is great.

Last Saturday we went to visit Wissembourg in France. It is a nice little town and worth a visit.
To challenge myself I took only the Sirui 35mm with me. It did very well.
I like 35mm for such a trip. The lens focused very good. I had not 1 missed shot. I hadn't even the lens hood attached on it.
Beside the very nice micro contrast it also behaved very good in back light situation and renders a nice 3d pop when fully opened.
That's a completely other experience as Matti Sulanto tells in his video review. Having received a bad copy he should repeat his review as that can happen often nowerdays. Even the very expensive Panasonic 70-200 2.8 often gets sent back because of optical issues.
