If you are registered, you get access to the members only section, can participate in the buy & sell second hand forum and last but not least you can reserve your preferred username before someone else takes it.
Not sure if you could buy from where you are, then you'd be able to take off the 10% Goods and service tax as well for a further discount. That's what I do when I travel, if the stars align, as we have what's called the Tourist Refund scheme here. If you travel within I think 30 days and take the item out of the country, you can claim the tax back. I've done it myself quite a number of times. Bought stuff out of the UK too, and that gets their sales tax removed also.
Yeah, I jumped on the 35mm f1.8, & I'm not traveling, nor do I know anyone that is that could take it out of the country for me. I missed out on a stupid priced 35mm f1.8 when I was in NZ late last year/earlier this year, somewhat consoled now though -even if I have to pay the sales tax I got my 18mm f1.8 for quite a bargain doing it that way though
And I got an absolute screaming bargain years ago when I bought my GX8 & kit too.
