Standing on strange streets, trying not to get run over :)

Hmmmm. That kinda makes a bit of sense, as I'm pretty sure one of the big Chinese Automakers own Volvo now. I know that VW is also built under license here, off the top of my head I can't think of any others at the moment. Vehicle building is a pretty incestuous affair these days, you don't know who's in bed with whom :)
Yes, Volvo is now owned by the Chinese conglomerate Geely, just like Polestar, Zeekr, and Lynk & Co.

All are now also sold in the Netherlands.

So I borrowed my Nephew's bicycle again, for another bit of a pedal around the city.
I probably shouldn't be doing this, I somehow managed to pick up a DVT/Blood clot in my leg, on the flight over here, got immobilzed for about 3 weeks, and I'm on a couple of different courses of Blood thinners. Not exactly a low risk activity cycling around a strange city on the "wrong" side of the road, with chaos going on all around you ha ha ha ha.
Anyway, I made a vain attempt with some bubble wrap to try and make the seat a touch more comfortable. Failed dismally.

I find it hilarious picking out all the different design cues on the little electric cars and pickup's/Utes here. I found a small dealership and had a wander around ha ha ha. Now what does that remind me of? He he he.

There's a mini version of a late model Ford Ranger getting around, I'm yet to catch it on camera. I'm keeping my eye out for sure.

I find the most new electric cars hideous large and too big and heavy. And so stupid that they do not to even try to have some efficient drag. I dislike Tesla antics etc. but those ineffective inefficient large block bricks they call cars is a waste of energy. Just like AI.

Anyway, nice you put your pictures in a thread, and I like a lot of them! Nice to see how the not-haves still make transportation (or agriculture) work. Most of the wide angle compositions do not work for me, but you didn't take them for me anyway, but I like the pictures !

Well, the Wife assures me that this is indeed a Chinese made car. Or SUV. I thought it looked pretty nice, even better than some of the latest Toyota designs. Yeah, there's a bit of a Lexus hint in the grill, but still quite nice.

My Wife assures me this is a Chinese designed and manufactured car. I think it's beautiful.

Edit -that's also my Wife in the first photo, informing me in a not so subtle manner, that we're late for our dinner reservation so stop p!$$ing around with your camera. Semi regular occurrence LoL

So we went hiking today. On the way out, I decided to recreate a photo from 17 years back :) The S5 is just a tiny bit more capable than my little 2MP Fujifilm Superzoom he he he. Just a bit.

We climbed this. About 800 meters climbing in elevation, that's not my Wife by the way. She bailed at about 1/3 or 1/2 distance, and one of her friends continued up to the top with me. It's a damn hard climb, steep as all get out. Especially for someone who's just spent the last 3 & 1/2 weeks pretty much immobile. Not sure if 1600 pixels does it any sort of justice :)
Even got the tiniest little flurry of snowflakes at one point when a bit of a thunderstorm rolled over :)

Cheated the last 1/3 of the hike down, did the touristy thing and hopped aboard the cable car :) I was waiting to get a bit of a lecture from the attendants regarding hanging my camera well outside the windows, not a peep. Winning :)

More hanging out windows lol. This time it was at a relatives apartment while waiting for dinner. For a software corrected Ultrawide lens (my Lumix 18mm F1.8), the files seem to stitch up quite nicely in my older version of Elements. A little bit surprised. Anyway, way too big for the Forum restrictions (even resized by half) so I'll throw up a link.
