The S1RII does astro

Recently, I've had several long weekends shooting astro with a group of friends using the S1RII.

This first image of Colorado's San Juan mountain range was using the Sigma 28mm F1.4 DG HSM Art. Two exposures stitched together. Sky was 60 seconds, tracked, F1.4, ISO 800, edited in Capture One. Foreground was using the same exposure parameters, but not tracked. Stitched in Photoshop. Everything cropped to a 4x5.

Location was a simple pull-out along Colorado's famed Million Dollar Highway (US 550).

I'll post more as I process them!

Whoa - that's really very impressive George. Wall art!

I love that section of the 550. As well as following the narrow gauge on down to Durango.

This is a really good Milky Way photo, thanks. :)

Thank you, Charles.

Yes, 550 is absolutely incredible. A must-do trip for any landscape lover. This was south of Silverton. We also drove up the "easy" side of Black Bear pass last summer (which starts off 550) and got some interesting astro content there. I need to dig it out and post it, although it was with the S5. I probably should have simply titled this thread "L-mount Astro Thread." Didn't really need to make it specific to the S1RII. @dirk is there any way you can change the title?
