Interactive L-Mount Lens Table

Nice table. Thanks. I think the TTArtisan list is this:

- 11mm f2.8 fisheye
- 50mm f1.4 tilt
- 500mm f6.3
- 50mm f2 pancake
- 100mm f2.8 macro
- 35mm T2.1 cine lens
- 50mm f1.4
- 90mm f1.5
- 75mm f2 AF
- 100mm f2.8 T/S

They used to do a 21mm f1.5 but it's now discontinued.

No time yet to add the TTArtisan lenses but I have added a view interactive charts: https://www.endlesslycurious.net/posts/lens-charts/

You can explore the following:

Charts are interactive, so you can filter, zoom, etc.

If anyone has good ideas for a different type of visualization based on the lens data, just let me know :)

Someone commented that the Panasonic 18mm 1.8 is categorized as Wide Angle rather than UWA. I think it is a matter of definition; I would consider it UWA, but mileage varies.
And thanks for the continuing refinements!

Never really noticed that Panasonic’s lens distribution overall skews slightly cheaper than Sigma. I guess it just pushes to show that they have not done any “Pro” glass for quite a while. Will be interesting to see if this will get rectified or if they leave the more expensive segments to Sigma and Leica. Would be odd since I would naively guess that those lenses have higher margins?

Interesting comparison. I'm actually a big fan of Lumix lenses. Setting aside some poor experiences with copy variation, I find their performance to be more than adequate and the prices are reasonable. In fact, apart from the 28-200 (which even after trying three copies I still found to be underwhelming), there isn't a Lumix lens that isn't a great performer - whether Pro or not.

Great. This is a great resource you've built.

Small editing suggestion - TTArtisan is not plural. But you've used "TTArtisans" in the selection criteria.
Ooooooh so well spotted! Fixed. It drove me nuts all the time because it is 7Artisans with plural and TTartisan without s….

Yes I have similar feelings. I also find that I often like the rendering and colors more. The 28-200 is actually fine for me. Also prefer often the 50mm Panasonic over the Sigma 35f2. The latter is definitely sharper but I find the image from the Pana often more pleasing. Probably just anchoring

Quick update on the list:

  • Added all available Laowa lenses; also latest Sigma lenses. Total is 139 lenses now.
  • Added "Tilt Shift" and "Probe" as filters since there are quite a few now
  • All Sigma lenses have reviews now.
I will add a compare tool soon too. Some "categories" are getting quite large. For example, just Panasonic and Sigma have 7 primes in the normal focal range. I find it a bit harder to compare then if I just want to zoom in on 2-3 of them.

If anyone has any feature or lens wishes, just let me know.

If/when I have time, I will split the whole thing from my personal site and move it all under http://l-mount-lenses.com/, right now it's just a redirect. But that'll be a bit cumbersome and fiddly. so might take a while :)

I am also working on adding bodies in a similar fashion, but also low burn prio. The nice thing about bodies is that it's far less though :D

Hello @Jan.Wedekind

I think you'll be busy in the next coming time in adding lenses to your lens list.
Leica has announced their new line Hektor T2.1 "Cinema lenses".

In the background you can see that expansion - perhaps by collaboration with DiJ, that is part of the L-mount alliance.
By there Cinema Line camera's.

(Besides this Cinema video camera, DiJ very soon comes by a fully new mirror-less full frame camera).

And as "Viltrox" is also part now of the L-mount alliance.
Soon you can add "their" lenses to, to your list.

Perhaps, this could be the "trigger" that Samyang, which also is part of the L-mount alliance,
but not very active till now, finally also shall release a number of lenses "more" with L-mount.
Than their 35-150mm lens "only" till now:

True, but there is hope for samyang. I saw some pictures of the IBC show last week, where they have shown L mount versions of their latest released 14-24 f2.8 and 24-60 f2.8 zoom lenses. Additionally there was an unreleased telephoto zoom, but the focal range or mount wasn't visible.

@Babylonia Yes, Viltrox is on the radar! WIll add once they actually release something.

As for Cine lenses: I have some in the list but have not exposed the filter yet. I was still debating with myself whether I want them in there or not. I can get quite esoteric quite quickly :). Part of which is that I have no clue about this space at all, it's lenses I myself would never even consider and mostly my impression is that hardcore filmmakers buying this sort of stuff are moving in very different circles. But... what do I know? :D
