I use the 18-40 when I want to have a small lens. I've never considered it a kit lens.

Well the camera came with it,I think I ll keep it for landscapes for now.
I also got a pergear 35mm and it’s sharp at the middle even at 1.4 although not so good on the sides.it’s useful because of the size also and for night photography I think.
Next lens will probably be the 24-60 or 35-150 Samyang to be on the camera all the time!

As I have got more experience, I see why Panasonic released this lens. My next lens will be the "worst lens ever", the 26mm f8. I just wanna to try it.

Yes, it's small size and light weight is why the 18-40mm is almost always on the front of my S9.
