Another point I forgot to mention:
Yesterday, I tried the hybrid zoom feature too. Originally I thought that this feature starts only once you are at the end of your telezoom range. With my Sigma 100-400 this would be after 400mm.
But in reality, the hybrid zoom feature kicked in more or less immediately. Already at the shorter end of the telezoom range. I found this confusing for my use case, because I often shoot with cropping later in mind, but with hybrid zoom, there would be sometimes not enough pixel left to cropp in.
I will try next time the other feature called "crop-zoom" to see when this will kick in.
